The architectural ring in concrete is reinforced with an organic diamond and gold structure. The Strangler Ring is spot treated with acid – using the serendipitous act of destruction – softening the edges and partially exposing the inner structure.
This work is a collaboration with Mumbai-based architecture firm Material Immaterial Studio, and is inspired by the parasitic Strangler trees found in the Pench National Park, in Madhya Pradesh. The trees create a powerful visual as though a sinister force has enveloped parts of the forest.
Each Studio Renn piece is handcrafted. As a result, carat and gold weights may vary slightly from one edition to the next.
This piece will be made to order, please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for delivery.
